CE 342 Catalog Description:

Fluid properties: fluid statics, stability of floating bodies, conservation of mass, differential relations for fluid flow,  Euler and Bernoulli equations, impulse-momentum principle, laminar and turbulent flow, dimensional analysis and model testing, analysis of flow in pipes, open channel flow, hydrodynamic lift and drag.  Practical civil engineering applications stressed.  A three-hour laboratory is included. (4 credits)
