A guide to material that supports the teaching of CE 342 Fluid Mechanics at Stevens Institute of Technology
Welcome to the Samuel C. Williams Library research guide for CE 342 Fluid Mechanics. This guide has been created as a supplement to your lecture and lab work for the course. In this guide you will find library resources to help you with your CE 342 assignments. And if you need additional help, please ask!
CE 342 Catalog Description:
Fluid properties: fluid statics, stability of floating bodies, conservation of mass, differential relations for fluid flow, Euler and Bernoulli equations, impulse-momentum principle, laminar and turbulent flow, dimensional analysis and model testing, analysis of flow in pipes, open channel flow, hydrodynamic lift and drag. Practical civil engineering applications stressed. A three-hour laboratory is included. (4 credits)
